Born in Tokyo the artist attended the Woman's Physical Education University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree. Her enthusiasm for challenge and competition led her to excel in a variety of contact sports and she was also a talented and accomplished gymnast. Undaunted by the obvious hazards of the sport Noriko became an expert skydiver and earned the notable distinction of being Japan's first woman Olympic skydiver. As one would expect Noriko loves other exciting and challenging activities such as motorcycling.

Conversely, Noriko writes non-fiction autobiographical books and poetry and has a passion for the arts, all forms of music with a preference for the colorful harmonies of the Baroque period. She enjoys a wide range of theatre and film and is an avid photographer.

Noriko's growing interest in art led her to attend the San Francisco Academy of Art earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Graphic Design. She then founded a graphic arts and greeting card company producing over 500 designs that were distributed worldwide. Though managing a successful business Noriko felt stifled, constrained, and unchallenged. Her background of challenging activities, expository writing, a solid grounding in design, a love of art and her latent talent synergized, leading to her self-taught evolution as an accomplished oil painter. A move to Hawaii further ignited her creative spirit and artistic expertise. With subtle tones and a pageant of dazzling color, her inspired artistry creates the most beguiling of vibrant floral canvasses.

The artist's native language is Japanese but she speaks fluent color. Her paintings reflect this dynamic language with the theme "Rhythms of Color" Noriko explains, "Visual images of color communicate with people internationally. They respond and connect to the rhythm and power of color. I try to bring peace and the beauty of flowers into your life."

Noriko's artistic talent continues to flourish adding floral abstracts to her repertoire. This masterfully accomplished artist continues to create breathtaking floral images with dedication, passion, and inspiration. Perhaps, enhancing the very beauty of nature itself.
